Independence & Affiliation
ComparEdge is an independent editorial platform. Our Editorial Assessments, including Freedom Score, True Cost analysis, and comparison verdicts. All are produced without payment from or direction by listed vendors.
Affiliate programs: ComparEdge does not currently participate in affiliate or referral programs. All external links are provided for user convenience only. If this changes in the future, disclosure will be added explicitly on affected pages. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial assessments, scores, or rankings — all evaluations are based solely on our independent methodology.
The presence of a product on this site does not constitute an endorsement by that vendor of ComparEdge, nor an endorsement by ComparEdge of that vendor.
Vendor Relations & Corrections
ComparEdge maintains a formal process for vendors who believe data about their product is factually inaccurate.
To submit a correction:
- Use our Vendor Correction form. Select "Vendor correction" as the subject
- Include your name, company, role, and a specific description of the alleged inaccuracy
- Provide official documentation or a public source supporting the correction
- We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and resolve within 5 business days (up to 10 for complex cases)
Corrections are evaluated on factual grounds only. Editorial opinions, scores, and rankings are not subject to vendor override and are explicitly protected editorial opinion under applicable law. Submitting a correction through this process is required prior to initiating any legal action relating to data accuracy.
ComparEdge does not guarantee the removal of any listing or assessment. We reserve the right to retain, edit, or display information about any software product in the public interest, regardless of vendor requests for removal.
Methodology & Score Changes
ComparEdge continuously develops and refines its evaluation frameworks to improve accuracy and relevance.
Methodology change disclaimer: ComparEdge reserves the right to modify its scoring methodologies, formulas (including Freedom Score, True Cost, and Expert Analysis criteria), weighting factors, and evaluation criteria at any time without prior notice. Previous versions of methodologies may not be available for comparison. A product's score may change following a methodology update without any change to the product itself. ComparEdge accepts no liability for decisions made based on previously published scores that have since been revised.
The current methodology is documented at /methodology. That page reflects the methodology currently in use and is updated when material changes are made.
