Where do the calculator prices come from?

Every figure comes from the vendor's own pricing page, verified by our team on a rolling cadence. The numbers here are identical to the plan cards on each product's pricing page. One source of truth, no separate "calculator prices".

What hidden costs does the calculator include?

Where we have verified data, the estimate is paired with a "watch the bill" note: usage overages, per-seat add-ons, onboarding fees, and features gated behind higher tiers. If a vendor doesn't publish a rate, we say so instead of guessing.

How is per-seat pricing calculated?

Seats × the published per-seat rate, with the annual-billing rate applied when you toggle annual. The savings line shows exactly what annual billing saves versus paying monthly for a year.

How does the LLM API cost math work?

Monthly input tokens × the input rate per 1M tokens, plus output tokens × the output rate. Rates are per-model and kept current; for deeper comparisons across 100+ models use the dedicated LLM calculator.

Why does my product show "quote-based"?

Some vendors only sell through sales quotes or don't publish unit rates. The calculator is deterministic: if a rate isn't published and verified, we won't invent a number. The pricing page still shows plan structure and cost drivers.

Are credit and volume tiers exact?

When we captured the vendor's full tier table, the price is exact. When only sampled bands were captured, we show the nearest published band and label it an estimate rather than presenting interpolation as a quote.

How this hybrid calculator works

One engine, six pricing models. The calculator detects how each vendor actually bills and runs that math, with the vendor's own published figures.

Subscription or API, never both

For AI products a subscription is a static price with usage limits built in, and the API is priced per token with no flat fee. Pick a plan and the tokens are included; touch the token sliders and the calculator switches to pay-as-you-go math.

Per-seat math with annual savings

Team tools multiply your seat count by the published per-seat rate. The Annual toggle swaps in the annual-billing price and shows the exact yearly saving next to each plan.

Base plan plus metered usage

Cloud platforms bill a flat base and meter what you burn on top: compute, storage, transfer. The steppers use the vendor's published unit rates, labelled 'after credit' where a plan includes one.

Volume bands snap, never guess

Credit and contact pricing snaps to the cheapest published band that covers your volume. Where the vendor only publishes sampled bands, the result is labelled an estimate, not a quote.

Hidden costs stay visible

Every estimate carries a "watch the bill" note with the costs vendors keep off the sticker: overages, mandatory add-ons, extra seats, onboarding fees. Verified figures only.
